Due to popular demand, the Knights in the Classroom are now offering a Grade 6 Game Show! This exciting half-day workshop is an amazing exploration into the challenging grade 6 curriculum.
Students are divided into teams and each team is seated around one of our custom-made maps which works as their game board for the presentation. Teams pick a leader, herald and scribe and then the game show begins!
This multimedia presentation is split into various parts where teams work towards earning components which will be placed on their maps as they build their own community in Canada. They will face numerous challenges, make tough decisions, and will explore much more than just the social studies curriculum. The presentation utilizes a variety of question types, hands on aspects, artifact exploration as well as large motor skill activities and physical challenges. They will explore many of the Character Matters elements and have a truly memorable experience.
The grade 6 game show has been called "a giant version of Risk meets Settlers of Catan!"
This session also includes an optional archery component, at no extra cost, should your administration give permission.
This workshop is 3-hours long and may include a fencing demonstration at the end should time allow. Fencing is one of the many skills the colonists would have had when they arrived in Canada.
